Here’s how the women at Infiniti nailed it! #BreakingtheCeiling- Part 2

This year on the occasion of International women’s day we are

celebrating #Balanceforbetter. #WomenofInfiniti speaks from their life how they are able to #Breaktheceiling and create an identity for themselves.

As I look back, I see myself as a shy woman transformed into a fearless person. I started working with Infiniti as a ticketing executive. With time the appreciations I received helped me to discover the potential in me. Today I am the team leader for the international booking process. Infiniti has been very sensitive to my needs. Recently I joined back to work from a major health issue. They were supportive through all these and looked at my convenience after the comeback.

They have been very caring and always encouraging me to take risks even when I am not convinced.

I have to play multiple roles be it a mom, a team lead, a wife but all these would not have been possible without the support of my family. They have been very caring and always encouraging me to take risks even when I am not convinced. All my aspirations would not have become a reality without my family sharing the load. Undoubtedly I did work hard. I had to be diligent to reach my goals. But #Breakingtheceiling requires a collective effort. I am where I am because of the people at my work and my family by setting me free and letting me do what I wanted to.

Being a professional: Sylvia (Manager – Group Support)

A boss lady or a powerful woman? People often label me, but that does not stop me from being the woman I want to be. I grew up as the only girl in my family amidst five brothers. Still, I always aspired to be a professional having a career of my own. I started my career at an early age of 20 as a ticketing executive. And from then on there has been no turning back. Infiniti was able to recognize my dedication and business acumen in taking its business process forward.

When I’m at work I am completely into it.

I am entrusted with a significant process for one of the world’s top airline. And it didn’t stop there, with my team growing I also receive continuous opportunity to explore other responsibilities. When it comes to working, I have always been a professional. I come and leave the office on time. When I’m at work I am completely into it. I have always been disciplined which has helped me to balance my professional and personal commitments. Yes, I get my hair and nails done. Yes, I work out. Yes, I cook. And Yes! I am also a manager.

Continuous Learning: Sandhiya ( Assistant Manager – Finance)

I come from an orthodox family. Being the youngest of three daughters did help me in gaining some freedom. However, it’s through my success and influence, I was able to transform their thinking. I have joined Infiniti seven years back straight from college as an accounts executive. As Infiniti grew so was my responsibilities.

The desire to learn something new every day makes me excited about work.

I started as a solo performer to handle company accounts. I was young, inexperienced but Infiniti trusted me with confidential and challenging affairs. I also have some of the excellent mentors who always make sure I am upgrading. My biggest motivator is constant learning. The desire to learn something new every day makes me excited about work. I love what I do, and that’s all matters. The world around is continually changing. The only way I see myself growing is being a constant student.

Consistency and perseverance: Mary Belinda (Assistant Manager – Trade Accounting)

I was going through a great amount of emotional turmoil when I joined Infiniti. My husband was not granted spouse pass so I had to return from Singapore. Thereafter my husband went abroad for work reasons, and I was living in India with my in-laws. The journey started with little expectation, but Infiniti has helped me to discover my potentials and come up as a professional. The advantage of working with a growing company is you get ample scope to set up the process, explore and see your ideas come into life.

The management has been supportive over the years in every endeavor of mine. Every time I raise my opinion and I am heard, gives me the confidence to think beyond the obvious. If I had to say what helped me in #BreakingtheCeiling its undoubtedly my consistency, there were challenges and dark days along with numerous doubts that encompassed my way to reach here. However, I was never in the mood of giving up but pushed myself harder to reach the target.
